Common health concerns

Everyday symptoms, assessed online.

A general physician can assess most common symptoms in an online consultation and tell you when you need tests, a specialist or urgent care.

Fever

Most viral fevers settle within two to three days with rest and fluids. Consult a doctor if a fever lasts more than three days, reaches 103°F (39.4°C), or comes with a rash or painful urination.

Get urgent care for a stiff neck, confusion, breathing difficulty or a seizure.

Cough, cold and sore throat

Colds usually clear in a week to ten days. Consult a doctor if a cough lasts more than two weeks, you have a high fever, or symptoms keep returning.

Get urgent care for breathlessness, chest pain or coughing up blood.

Acidity, bloating and constipation

Occasional indigestion is common. Persistent acidity, bloating, constipation or stomach pain for more than two weeks is worth a consultation.

Get urgent care for vomiting blood, black stools or severe abdominal pain.

Headaches

Tension headaches are common and often linked to stress, sleep or screen time. Consult a doctor if headaches recur, change pattern or need frequent painkillers.

Get urgent care for a sudden, severe headache, or one with weakness, vision loss or confusion.

Fatigue and weakness

Persistent tiredness can have many causes, including anaemia, thyroid problems, vitamin deficiencies, poor sleep or stress. A doctor can help find the reason and advise tests if needed.

Get urgent care for fainting, chest pain or a racing heart.

Dizziness

Dizziness is often linked to dehydration, low blood pressure or inner-ear problems. Consult a doctor if it keeps happening.

Get urgent care for dizziness with chest pain, slurred speech or weakness on one side.

Appetite and weight changes

Losing weight without trying, or a lasting change in appetite, deserves a proper assessment.

Get urgent care for rapid weight loss with fever, night sweats or vomiting.

Sleep difficulties

Trouble falling or staying asleep can be linked to health conditions, medicines or stress. When stress is part of the picture, we work with Rooh Mind Care.

Get urgent care for thoughts of self-harm. Call 112 or a crisis helpline.

Body aches

Aches often follow viral illness, poor posture or low vitamin D. Consult a doctor if pain lasts or keeps returning.

Get urgent care for severe pain with swelling, fever or inability to move a limb.

Common skin complaints

Mild rashes, itching and minor infections can often be assessed online, especially with clear photos. Our dermatologist is coming soon.

Get urgent care for a rapidly spreading rash with fever, or swelling of the face or lips.

These are general guides, not diagnoses. Some symptoms need a physical examination, laboratory tests or urgent medical assessment. In an emergency, call 112.
